Crafting A Powerful Proposal

Creating & Crafting Your Book Proposal
Your book proposal is more than just a document; it is the foundation upon which your entire writing journey rests. Unlike publishers of fiction, publishers of nonfiction do not generally want to review an entire manuscript, they want a book proposal. Whether you envision traditional publishing or a self-published path, a compelling proposal is essential. It's an investment worth making, ensuring your vision is clear and well structured, and resonates with publishers and readers alike.
I'm here to guide you through this critical process, collaborating with you to clarify your vision and develop each key element of your proposal:
Title & Subtitle: Create a captivating “hook” for your book.
Overview: Articulate the core message of your book and why it is significant.
Introduction: Craft a compelling introduction that grabs the reader’s attention.
Marketing Plan & Competition Analysis: Identify your target audience, analyze the competition, describe your author platform and marketing strategy.
Table of Contents & Outline: Map the structure of your book chapter by chapter and write chapter summaries.
Sample Chapters: Polish two or three sample chapters that showcase your writing and the potential for your book.
Through personalized coaching and expert guidance, we'll transform your ideas into a powerful proposal that paves the way for your book's success.
Process & Timeline:
We'll work closely through weekly one-hour Zoom calls and ongoing document exchange, with me providing feedback, suggestions, and edits. While the process is collaborative and tailored to your schedule, a proposal developed from scratch typically takes 3-4 months to complete.
Investment:
The flat rate for this service is $5600. A 50% deposit is required upfront, with the remaining balance payable in installments. You will have a polished and submission-ready proposal at the completion of services and upon full payment of the $5600.
Pausing & Resuming Work:
I understand that life happens! If you need to take a break from the process, we can pause our work and adjust the timeline accordingly. The flat rate fee remains unchanged.

I offer editing and refinement services, collaborating with you to elevate your proposal to its full potential. Through a collaborative process, we’ll work together to enhance every section, ensuring your proposal is clear, compelling, and professional:
Title & Subtitle: Confirm your title is compelling.
Overview: Ensure your core message is clear and persuasive.
Introduction: Refine your introduction to capture attention right from the start.
Marketing Plan & Competition Analysis: Sharpen your analysis to position your book effectively in the marketplace.
Table of Contents & Outline: Review and enhance the structure of your book and chapter summaries to ensure a logical and engaging flow.
Sample Chapters: Edit your sample chapters, and highlight your voice and the promise of your book.
With my guidance, your proposal will not only meet industry standards but will also stand out to publishers and readers.
Process & Timeline:
We'll work closely through a collaborative process of document exchange and focused feedback. The timeline will be tailored to your project and availability, but typically takes 2-3 months to complete.
Investment:
The flat rate for this service is $1800, assuming all core proposal components are already fully developed. Additional fees may apply, see below. You will have a polished and submission-ready proposal at the completion of services and upon full payment of the fee. If upon reviewing your proposal, I feel the refinement needed is minimal, I will reduce the rate accordingly.
Projects Requiring Additional Development:
Should your proposal require the creation of new sections or substantial content development beyond refining existing material, additional fees will apply, and will be discussed with you in advance of any additional work.
